WHY BREEDERS?
Our main goal is to produce healthy pups with the temperament to live as valued and happy family members and the health and structure for those lives to be long and comfortable. Irresponsible breeders producing litters for the sake of quantity over quality give the industry a bad name and create the problems we see today with homeless and abused animals.
As well as irresponsible pet owners, purchasing puppies as gifts for people who did not sign up for the responsibility and commitment of a puppy. In an effort to reduce this unfortunate happening, we carefully screen each potential puppy home to ensure our pups have found their true forever home. We also genetically health test any parents we intend to breed to ensure the best quality of life for the pups.
When purchasing through a rescue, you take a gamble on the temperament and health of the animal you are bringing into your home, around your children, and other pets.
And while a lot of people out there have the time and means to afford to care for a dog in this manner, just as many people do not feel comfortable with the very likely possibility that the rescue pup will have been traumatized, developed mental defects, or contracted a serious illness.
But this doesn’t mean they shouldn't be allowed to provide a loving home for a happy puppy, a family shouldn’t be deprived of the joy of a loving pet because they want a fresh start.
